Community Building Tip: Vision

For my current set of tips, I'm using the list "101 Small Ways You Can Improve Your City.

86. Brainstorm a community vision. Community planning discussions benefit from some levity, some understanding, and a lot of visual aids. The St. Paul, Minnesota-based Friendly Streets Initiative holds community visioning events that display large images of potential neighborhood improvements, asking neighbors to vote for their favorites via Post-It. It’s a quick, effective, and entertaining way to take the temperature of the neighborhood.

This is a great idea because it scales up or down fluently.  Any size group can create a shared vision, then choose the most popular ideas to promote.

Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy and hot, spitting a few drops of rain.

I fed the birds. I've seen house finches and doves.

We picked up 2 piles of grass in the ritual meadow to haul away.

EDIT 8/21/21 -- I started trimming grass around the firepit.
