Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and quite warm.

I fed the birds.  I've seen house finches and doves.

I sprayed weeds in the prairie garden.

Lots of butterflies out today -- I saw skippers in the prairie garden.  They're sort of rust-colored, so could be any of several things.

EDIT 8/15/21 -- I sprayed weeds in the forest garden, but it needed surprisingly little attention.

EDIT 8/15/21 -- I cut brush in the prairie garden, clearing a path that was overgrown.

Poem: "A Velvet Revolution"

Based on an audience poll, this is the free epic for the August 3, 2021 Poetry Fishbowl meeting its $200 goal. It came out of the June 2, 2020 Poetry Fishbowl based on a prompt from siliconshaman. It also fills the "Knitting / Sewing / Crochet / etc." square in my 6-1-20 card for the Cottoncandy Bingo fest. This poem belongs to the Arts and Crafts America series.
