Poem: "If Someone Else Thinks You Can Do the Job"

This poem is spillover from the May 5, 2020 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by prompts from alexseanchai, dialecticdreamer, and Anonymous. It also fills the "Kurgarra (a genderqueer person)" square in my 5-1-20 card for the Sumerian Me Bingo fest. This poem was sponsored by a pool with fuzzyred, ng_moonmoth, and mama_kestrel. Poetry Fishbowl Update

I have received donations from the pool and from my parents, so there's a big pile of stuff to post.  If you're still planning to shop the sale, please make your choices now. 

Birdfeeding

Today is partly sunny and steamy.  It drizzled off and on last night.  We're supposed to get more rain tomorrow.  The cracks in the ground are not all closed, but smaller than they were.

Round One, we cut dead wood in the ritual meadow and piled it on the ground.

Round Two, I went back and broke down some of the wood to put it on the fire heap.

my_partner_doug broke up the rest of the dead wood.

Round Three, I picked up sticks in the ritual meadow and hauled cut brush from beside the driveway. 

EDIT 6/21/20 -- Round Four, I hauled cut brush from the streetside yard to the ritual meadow.

The fireflies are coming out.  :D

Poem: Summer Haiku 6-21-20
