Recipe: "Squash Toast"

This is so simple, it's barely a recipe, but it is delicious.

Heat up a few spoonfuls of leftover mashed squash.

Toast a slice of cinnamon bread. 

Pile on as much mashed squash as will fit.  You don't have to go easy on it -- this is squash, not jam!

Devour.

Check out this video about a few Native American restaurants and why these are so rare.  I'm delighted to see more attention to foods inspired by tradition.  Most of it looks more fancified than I like, though.  I'm more into historic foods than haute cuisine.
