Terms of Service; Didn't Read

 Possibly a useful tool, although in practice users typically have no rights.  Getting almost anything off the internet requires giving up rights.  You don't have to agree to that; people will just do it to you.

EDIT 9/17/18: technoshaman has volunteered to help anyone interested in obtaining less-rights-grabby software.

The crowdfunding Creative Jam ran this weekend with a theme of "darkness and light." See what I've written.

There will be a bonus fishbowl on Tuesday, September 18 with a theme of "Polychrome Heroics: The Big One."  Mark your calendars accordingly, and I hope to see you then!

There are three open epics. We're full until at least one of these concludes.

"Energy, Made Visible" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Shiv. Now Shiv flibbers over being unable to earn ALL the pretty colors at once.

"Only If It Is Embraced" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Damask. In which a supervillain and a cop argue over donuts.

"In the Depths of Your Grief" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Officer Pink and has 10 new verses. Kedric and Turq discuss emotional support after trauma.


The weather has been warmer here. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: sparrows and house finches. In bloom: marigolds, gazania, zinnias, salvia, cleome, petunia, million bells, snapdragons, lantana, dianthus, morning glory, sedum, hosta, and goldenrod. Crabapples, apples, and pears have green fruit.

Poetry Fishbowl Report for September 4, 2018

Our theme this time was "self-discovery." I wrote from 1:15 PM to 7:30 AM, so about 16 hours 15 minutes, allowing for breaks. I wrote 7 poems on Tuesday and 11 more later on.

Participation was modest this time, with 16 comments on LiveJournal and another 57 on Dreamwidth. There were no new prompters.
