Genderfree Sizing

This shirt company bases their sizes on body shape rather than gender.  There are some styles that resemble traditional masculine or feminine cuts, but there are other styles too, and anyone can buy whatever style best suits their body.

The Personhood of Mountains

... is now a thing. 

I am intrigued by the growing trend of recognizing the personhood of important creatures, such as trees; and parts of the world, such as rivers and mountains.  If only we could do this for the redwoods and Bear Butte and so forth.  Because every biker who's ever had his ride knocked to bits after sassing that mountain already knows it's a person.  And the redwoods are almighty terraformers, so.  It's a thing.

Tuesday Yardening

Today is hot and muggy. I fed the birds and watered plants.

Then I noticed that my butterfly weed is blooming -- the first time I've gotten it to do so -- and that inspired me to take a few pictures.

This is the septic garden fully grown in.


The lamb's ear is blooming too.


Here is the butterfly weed. It's actually a type of milkweed. Butterflies indeed like it very much.
