"HESTIA"
-- an acrostic
Hestia keeps the hearth as Her altar;
Even Her servants, the lares and penates,
Step softly around Her, guarding family and pantry.
Till the land and fish the sea, but in the end,
It all comes here to be cooked and eaten,
A feast for the glory of the Hearth Goddess.

Notes:
Acrostic poetry spells something down the lefthand margin with the first letter of each line. It is easy to write.
Hestia or Vesta is a goddess of hearth and home.
Lares and penates are guardian spirits. Lares watch over a family. Penates originally minded the pantry but later expanded to the whole household.
