Sunday Yardening

Today is partly cloudy and hot.

Round 1, we picked up a big pile of grass near the house. 

EDIT 6/4/17: Round 2, I sowed some shady flower seeds around the forest garden and forest yard.  I also trimmed weeds around the barrel garden and the apricot tree near the house.

EDIT 6/4/17: Round 3, I trimmed brush around the walnut near the house and the forsythia around the utility pole meter.

The weather is cooler now from downdrafts, with a small chance of rain.

Upcycling Old Socks

A friend asked what to do with old socks. Here are some great ideas. Some of these will also work with other types of repurposed or scrap fabric. Yes, I have a ragbag that I actually use. My grandparents helped raise me, so I'm double-stamped on time period and have nearly Depression-caliber poorskills.
