The Holiday Poetry Sale is now CLOSED.  Thank you all for your support!

A silver lantern glazed with cobalt glass panes sends a flickering blue light over the snow...
Welcome to the 2016 Holiday Poetry Sale! Today through Friday, December 23, my remaining fishbowl poems from 2016 are half price. So are poems from the Creative Jam and other activities. Especially check out the epics; they range $16 to $187.50, so if you've been yearning for an epic of your very own, now's the time! For those of you with just a few dollars to spend, we're starting with four poems at $2.50 and eight at $5. We currently have four epics open, all in Polychrome Heroics, so I'd prefer not to open another. Thumbnail descriptions of the individual poems appear in the first section which is listed by price.

"Holding Hope and Love" belongs to Polychrome Heroics.  Sunny tries to talk Cheersquad into taking a break.  "A Hope and a Promise" belongs to Polychrome Heroics.  Aidan explores the Rainbow Room.  "The Sharpest Dose of Reality" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Shiv.  There are many new verses, in which Pain's Gray blows Shiv's mind and then Shiv begins to freak out over the intimacy.  "Become Music Again" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Shiv.  Boss White has a gift for Shiv after release from prison.

The weather has been cold.  We got a dusting of snow and some ice.  The new furnace is keeping the house warm (not counting the upstairs, which is still chilly, but I expected that) without going into emergency heat or us needing to light a fire.  \o/  This week at the birdfeeder I have seen many sparrows, some mourning doves, and a couple of male cardinals.  My partner Doug spotted a bluejay.

This poem came out of the October 2016 [community profile] crowdfunding Creative Jam. It was inspired by prompts from [personal profile] alexseanchai. It also fills the "chess" square in my 10-4-16 card for the Games and Sports Bingo fest. This poem has been sponsored by [livejournal.com profile] daisiesrockalot. It belongs to the Antimatter & Stalwart Stan thread of the Polychrome Heroics series.

Warning: This poem contains some intense and controversial topics. Highlight to read the warnings, some of which are spoilers. It includes shifting affinities, interpersonal friction, changing alliances, homophobic actions. harsh homophobic language, bullying, gender discrimination, gender identity issues, emotional injury, ambivalent help-seeking behavior, Coach Bo Ray being an absolute asshole, Stan not knowing his own strength and clocking the coach verbally, extreme stress reactions, Stan quitting the football team, other players complaining about Stan quitting now that their crappy behavior is costing them something they want, Lawrence trying to clean up the mess, awkward conversations about sex and gender stuff, massive teen angst, and other challenges. If these are sensitive issues for you, please consider your tastes and headspace before reading onward.
