ysabetwordsmith: (Schrodinger's Heroes)
Three poems have been sold in the half-price sale for Schrodinger's Heroes.  One more is in microfunding.  Three are left.

The general fund has $10.50 at present. I will hold off on posting a poll until after the weekend, since Sunday is the last day to make donations and other folks might want to chip in. If you're on a limited budget, remember we've got two open epics and one of them is locked at the sale rate of $.25/line.

The March [community profile] crowdfunding Creative Jam is now open on Dreamwidth and on LiveJournal.  Our theme this month is "highly distinctive people."  Come give us prompts, or claim some for your own inspiration.

What I Have Written

"Trust and Integrity"
I started working last night with a bingo card prompt, and got the free-verse poem "Trust and Integrity." The pastor at the People of Jesus Nondenominational Church and Interfaith Center coaxes Turq into accepting supper from the soup kitchen.
236 lines, Buy It Now = $118  SOLD

"Flight Square" is today's freebie, about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

"The Light Inside"
Your third prompt inspired the free-verse poem "The Light Inside." Turq explains to Janie about his favorite vending machine. Per the prompt, it's an uplifting piece.
31 lines, Buy It Now = $15  SOLD

"What You Like Doing Best"
The girl with the candy floss hair inspired the free-verse poem "What You Like Doing Best." Officer Pink presents a workshop on flickering, and talks with a high school student who is interested in doing that sort of thing herself.
266 lines, Buy It Now = $133  SOLD

"Acting to Type"
A prompt for the Capes and Masks project by [personal profile] shiori_makiba  inspired the short and sweet poem "Acting to Type." Villains get to do all kinds of things the rest of us wish we could.
13 lines, Buy It Now = $10

"For the Purpose of Establishing Justice"
This gave me a chance to introduce Blocks, a Super-Intellect with autism who works for SPOON. He is a friend of the Analyst, who you may have already seen in other poems, and they're trying to figure out why a building collapsed. They just don't have quite the same work style as some other people do. "For the Purpose of Establishing Justice" is written in free verse.
140 lines, Buy It Now = $70

"A Significant Threat"
Your "not like you" prompt inspired the free-verse poem "A Significant Threat." Victor and Igor learn of another hunter who is causing trouble.
162 lines, Buy It Now = $81

From My Prompts

"Fists and Faces" by [personal profile] clare_dragonfly belongs to the Ursulan Cycle and features two women knights trying to settle in at King Uther's court.

Today I carried a couple of buckets of mulch to go around the corkscrew willow.

One of the apricot trees is budding.  Forsythias and daffodils are well in bloom.  Some of the hyacinths are showing.
ysabetwordsmith: Damask smiling over their shoulder (polychrome)
This poem came out of the March 1, 2016 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by prompts from [personal profile] siliconshaman. It also fills the "unexpected friendship" square in my 1-5-16 card for the [community profile] trope_bingo fest. This poem has been sponsored by Anthony & Shirley Barrette. It belongs to the Berettaflies thread of the Polychrome Heroics series.
