"Infinite Potential"

These are the things
that were given
with infinite potential:
the wind and the sun,
the water and the earth.

The power of the elements
is without measure, without end.

It is more than enough
to meet the needs and desires
of humanity, to light the cities
and irrigate the farms.

Only the foolish clutch to themselves
the dusty lumps of power left
by aeons long gone.

"Building Sandcastles in the Rain"

Sometimes trying to make
the world a better place is like
building sandcastles in the rain.

You can spend your life
setting up a better future
for your children, only to see
the next generation wash it away.

But take heart:

there is no way
to build sandcastles
without water, and

no matter what happens

the sand and the water
will still be there for

the next generation of builders.
