Below is my second card for [community profile] cottoncandy_bingo Round Two. This fest encourages people to create and share material focused on what is variously called fluff, schmoop, gentle fiction, light reading, comfort reading, positive thinking, chicken soup for the soul, or anything else that offers a fun alternative to usual run of sex, violence, and angst of modern media. It's open to all fandoms plus original content, and all kinds of material. Read the FAQ and rules here.  See all my 2014 bingo cards.

People are starting to show interest in specific prompts as the new cards have gone up. If you'd like to sponsor a particular square, especially if you have an idea for what character, series, or situation it would fit -- talk to me and we'll work something out. I'll still post some of the fills for free, because I'm using this to attract new readers; but if it brings in money, that means I can do more of it. That's part of why I'm crossing some of the bingo prompts with other projects, such as the Poetry Fishbowl.

Sign-Ups: February 1, 2014 - June 1, 2014
Requesting additional cards ends: June 21, 2014
Round Two Ends: July 1, 2014
Amnesty: July 2, 2014 - December 31, 2014
All fandoms and original work are welcome.
No minimum length for poetry, but moderate-large size is recommended.

The bonus theme was Polychrome Heroics.  I worked from 12:15 PM to 5:15 AM, so about 15 hours allowing for lunch and supper breaks.  That's the longest fishbowl to date!  I wrote 9 poems on Tuesday and then another 13 later in the week -- another first, with the number of spillover poems exceeding the first-day batch.  Epics predominated.  All but one of the poems were free verse.  The series page has been updated accordingly.

Participation was decent, with 16 people sending prompts.  No new prompters, though.

Read Some Poetry!
The following poems from the March 18, 2014 Poetry Fishbowl have been posted:
"Everyday Lies and Heroic Revelations"
"The Family Business"
"Going Ape"
"Pulling Pigtails"
"Sink or Swim"
"Who Laughs Last"

Buy some poetry!
If you plan to sponsor some poetry but haven't made up your mind yet, read the unsold poetry list from March 18. That includes the title, length, price, and the original thumbnail description for the poems still available.  There are still several verses of "Lawless, Winged, and Unconfined" remaining, which you can reveal by linking to the unsold poetry list or a favorite poem from the March fishbowl.

The currently sponsored poems have all been posted.  Prompter copies have been sent out for the rest.  Donors included [livejournal.com profile] janetmiles, Anthony & Shirley Barrette.

The Poetry Fishbowl project also has a permanent landing page.
