[personal profile] haikujaguar has just posted the first installment of "Earthrise."  I've read an earlier version of this, and it's a lovely story.  Romance, intrigue, space opera ... a lot of cool stuff that the mainstream publishers aren't much interested in.  For everything else, there's crowdfunding.  I've wanted to be able to share this with folks, for years, and now I can.  Highly recommended.

This poem fills a square on my card for the [community profile] kink_bingo fest. This fest encourages people to push the limits of their comfort zone by creating erotica, pr0n, smut, and other sexy stuff in the many flavors of kinky, sensual, and otherwise exotic activities. I'm hoping to attract some new readers for my writing.

The following story belongs to Schrodinger's Heroes, featuring an apocryphal television show supported by an imaginary fandom. It's science fiction about quantum physics and saving the world from alternate dimensions. It features a very mixed cast in terms of ethnicity and sexual orientation. This project developed with input from multiple people, and it's open for everyone to play in. You can read more about the background, the characters, and a bunch of assorted content on the menu page.

[livejournal.com profile] siege tipped me to the website Take Back Halloween.  It's a response to all the sexist, racist, and otherwise biased Halloween costumes from the commercial industry.  It profiles important women from history and legend, explaining how to compile a costume for them without having to sew one from scratch or buy a premade ensemble.  Some of my favorites include Enheduanna, Mae West, Amaterasu, and Nzinga.  If you have daughters of trick-or-treat age, sons who enjoy crossdressing, or you're planning to dress up yourself -- give this site a look.

I just found a wonderful curse upon thieves:

Caveat lector:
"For him that stealeth this book from its owner, let it change into a serpent in his hand and rend him. Let him be struck with palsy, and all his members blasted!"
