Poem: "Picking Up the Signals"

cottoncandy_bingo fest. It's actually the last one written for the second column, which hasn't officially reached "bingo" yet because two of the poems are unsponsored: "The Tapestry of Nocciolaia" in Fiorenza the Wisewoman ($10) and "Of Water and the Wheel" in Kung Fu Robots ($20).
The following poem belongs to Schrodinger's Heroes, featuring an apocryphal television show supported by an imaginary fandom. It's science fiction about quantum physics and saving the world from alternate dimensions. It features a very mixed cast in terms of ethnicity and sexual orientation. This project developed with input from multiple people, and it's open for everyone to play in. You can read more about the background, the characters, and a bunch of assorted content on the menu page.

Sep. 28th, 2012 02:41 pmOur internet connection continues to be erratic. Now the service provider thinks the problem is with the antennas on the tower. They're going to replace those, but the new antennas won't arrive until early next week. So if my presence is patchy until then, that's likely why. Hopefully this won't interfere with the Poetry Fishbowl slated for Tuesday, October 2. Thank you for your patience.

"The Sound of an Argument" -- 52 lines, $10 or 10 Torn World credits
From a prompt about the past, I got the poem "The Sound of an Argument," about a scientist exploring erosion and coming up with mysteriously mixed data due to the time discrepancy across different shards. This poem is written in unrhymed quatrains.
"The Charity Wall" -- 12 lines, $5 or 5 Torn World credits
The prompt about a secret trade led to the poem "The Charity Wall," where people leave something and take something. This poem is written in unrhymed quatrains.
"These Small Essential Pieces" -- 112 lines, $28 or 28 Torn World credits
From the prompt about tiny bits, I got the free-verse poem "These Small Essential Pieces." Three rangers go scavenging near Itakith and find some useful things.
"Flying in the Wind" -- 27 lines, Buy It Now = $7.50 or 8 Torn World credits
From the prompt about following the wind I got the free-verse poem "Flying in the Wind." It features Yothalde, a snowy-groomer, on Combing Day.
