I found this by way of [personal profile] jjhunter:

If you were asked to pick one scene, one shot, one detail, one moment of some kind out of all the things I've made and say "This, this, for whatever reason, I remember, this is something that struck home with me, that I wanted to keep," what would it be?

In case you were wondering, the two brilliant "stars" in the westerly evening sky are Jupiter and Venus.  See the week's sky at a glance.  Read about the five visible planets for March viewing.

The March theme was "commoner heroes and second fiddles."  Most of the prompts arrived in a midday surge, although some trickled in later.  A total of 21 people posted prompts.  There were 54 comments on LJ and 8 on DW, including mine.  I worked from 1 PM to 1:30 AM, so about 10 hours 30 minutes, allowing for lunch and supper breaks.  (Plus another 5-6 hours the following day, working on spillover poems for Sort Of Heroes.)

I wrote 12 poems during the fishbowl proper, and another 3 on Wednesday.  Nothing short appeared; everything was medium-long, long, or epic.  They were all free verse.  Some were single-prompt poems but there were several that stacked a lot of prompts together.

There was one new prompter, [livejournal.com profile] ivorystardust, whom you have to thank for the second freebie.  Special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] minor_architect for managing the linkback perk poem, "Marchesa Micia," which is now complete.  Special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] my_partner_doug for managing the donation ticker.

Generous donations this month met the $150 and $250 goals for free serial poems; the poll is still open for choosing those.  We also met the $200 goal for a bonus fishbowl.  You'll get a poll to choose the series for that later.

Buy Some Poetry!
If you plan to sponsor some poetry but haven't made up your mind yet, read the list of unsold poems from March 6, 2012.  That includes the title, length, price, and the original thumbnail description for the poems still available.  Wow, you bought everything but some of the epics!

All currently sponsored poems have been posted.  I've sent backchannel copies to the prompters.  The generally sponsored poetry poll is still open.  I still need to write the donor perk-post for March.

The March donors include: Stephen Laird, [livejournal.com profile] marina_bonomi, [livejournal.com profile] rix_scaedu, [livejournal.com profile] minor_architect, [livejournal.com profile] janetmiles, and Anthony and Shirley Barrette.  Thank you all for your support and enthusiasm!

[livejournal.com profile] xiphias wrote the Lone Ranger  fanfic "Lighting the Firewood" and linked it under my poem "Fool's Game."  I am utterly charmed by this rendition and would love to see more of it.  So I'm shouting it out here in hopes that more people will see it.
