I love rare breeds.  I was delighted to read about the Choctaw ponies, direct descendants from Spanish ancestors let loose in America centuries ago.

ysabetwordsmith: Text -- three weeks for dreamwidth, in pink (three weeks for dreamwidth)
Today I got some more yardening done.  I planted grass seed in a bare patch, put out two pots of herbs (sweet basil and German thyme), and sewed some mixed flowers in the wildflower garden.

3. Do you crosspost? Why or why not?

I usually use the crosspost feature to echo my DW posts onto LiveJournal.  This is because my main audience is on LJ.  Most of what I post on DW consists of links to cool stuff I've found, which is also worth sharing over on LJ.  However, occasionally I post things to DW because it has that crossposting feature, rather than because I found something on DW in the first place; then I can make one post and it will appear in multiple places.  That's more efficient.

On rarer occasions, I post to DW only.  This is usually for things that are related to DW, otherwise not as relevant to my LJ audience, or just extra stuff.

[livejournal.com profile] stryck has posted a sonnet in response to my prompt for the "Poetry Kitchen: Sonnet Side Up" project.  It's about weaving cloth, but with social commentary.  I love the sly tone.

Torn World could use your support over on WebFictionGuide[livejournal.com profile] ellenmillion explains in a post that Torn World was listed there very early, when we only had a handful of pieces posted, so the editorial review was tepid.  That keeps our site from appearing on WFG's "best, recently updated" list.  What we need is to have more people rate and review Torn World, in hopes of getting a new editorial review that should score higher.  We have new content almost every day, and it would be nice for more people to know that.
