That is nice! I love the Baba Yaga stories, but in my mind I see her more colorful; Russians love color.

And I love the colors in her wolverine totem so much, my husband gifted me with it this week...it now graces my Hekate shrine, since I think she has a special love of all things weasel-family.

I liked the color scheme because it reminded me of sepia-tone historic pictures and illustrations, or woodgrain. But you're right about the Russian love of certain bold colors -- crimson, goldenrod, emerald, and sapphire appear on everything from pysanky to icons to clothes.

Yes, very akin to Celtic love of brightness and bold color!

Yeah, Celts are like the Fey. They never met a color they didn't like. Hence my closets looking like an orgy in a paint factory. I can easily put together an outfit that looks striking, but the overall color combination is flashier than average.

Yes. Tell me. I try to limit myself, but I get away from myself too often.

I've never met a color I didn't like; but several of them flat out HATE me and make me look like death with a hangover!

Happily I look good in my favorite colors. There are shades of orange and yellow that don't look very good. Muted and desert shades usually look bad on me, but I don't like those very much.

I don't mind that pastels look horrid on me, and don't miss most shades of yellow. But I'm fond of almost any shade of blue and of those, only navy looks reasonably lifelike on me!
