These are the location notes for "Walnut Park."

Walnut Park lies in North Bottoms, between Interstate 180 (to the west) and Salt Creek Roadway (to the east), between Y Street (north) and X Street (south). There are some old, small business buildings there; farther north it turns into housing.

Nebraska Lincoln Walnut Park
Boss Blaster buys an empty lot with a driveway coming into it from the alley. He extends this to the front street, creating a pull-through that can hold 2-3 food trucks or 6-8 food carts. He adds a row of upcycled picnic tables down the middle, with roll-under tables for wheelchair users. A garbage can at each end provides a place to dump trash. A portable wooden stage becomes a busk stop. The left side of the lot has walnut and sumac trees, while the right side has maples and redbuds. Shade gardens under the trees attract wildlife. In the middle, red and white clovers dot the grass. Food vendors pay a percentage of their profits in exchange for parking space, rather than a flat fee, which allows the property to start making money immediately.

Nebraska Lincoln Walnut Park Shade Garden
Foamflower, green-and-gold, wild stonecrop, ferns and irises fill this pretty woodland garden.

Nebraska Lincoln Walnut Park Picnic Table
The picnic tables are salvaged from wooden pallets. Each has room to seat 4 adults or 6 children.

Nebraska Lincoln Walnut Park Roll-Under Table
A set of roll-under tables provide access for wheelchair users.

Nebraska Lincoln Walnut Park Wooden Stage
A portable wooden stage provides a place for busking or playing. The rule is that activities have to stay inside the 8x8' space in order to be out of the way. Just beyond it you can see a bench with flower planters.

Nebraska Lincoln Walnut Park Water Fountain
Once the plumbing is confirmed clean, Boss Blaster adds a combination water fountain with a drinking fountain, bottle filler, handwashing sink, and pet bowl at each end of the park.
