Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and chilly.  Large patches of ground are visible, but there are still large patches of snow too.

I fed the birds.  I've seen a few sparrows.

I put out water for the birds.

EDIT 2/8/26 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.

I've seen a flocks of sparrows.  I heard a cardinal but didn't see it.

EDIT 2/8/26 -- I did more work around the patio.

I saw a male cardinal.

I am done for the night.

It's nice to consider spring on such a day. Sludge might be fun to sculpt if it contains clay. Here, it's sunny and quite warm. Mosquitoes never did go completely away, ugh, even in December there were one or two humming about in the shadows of the backyard.

I think that I would, too.

Currently, in other homey news, rats scramble under the house while their scratching and gnawing come up through the floor vents at night, so I'm considering a sonic deterrent because I've searched to no avail for their ingress point. Possibly mice, though the sounds appear too loud for mice.
