In their youth, Lodgepole and Sitka were among the founders of Cowlick Ecovillage. They moved onto undeveloped land with some friends and built a community there. Over the years it has improved gradually. They have since retired from the heavier work and leave that to the younger generations. Currently Lodgepole serves as a mentor and community spirit anchor. He spends considerable time outdoors, observing nature and making suggestions about how to work with it. He loves birdwatching. He does a lot of nature art and photography. He still keeps some smaller livestock like rabbits and chickens. Lodgepole likes outdoorsy menswear. His base colors are gray and white, accented with olive, rust, and other earth tones.
