I took some pictures around the yard. These are from Monday. See the south lot.
The rain garden has two columbines blooming.

This columbine is blooming purple.

This one is white.

Looking east across the house yard, you can see the barrel garden. I always plant it with fire colors.

The barrel garden is full of flowers including lantana, firecracker plant, petunias and million bells, red salvia, snapdragons, and marigolds.

This is the old picnic table garden.

The chalk-horse pot and owl pots have petunias, verbena, 'Dusty Miller' artemesia, sweet alyssum, and blue lobelia.

The big blue pot holds two different petunias, a 'Dusty Miller' artemesia, and white superbells.

Some of the trough pots hold herbs, and another is a mini water garden.

These stands hold pansies and violas.

Johnny-jump-ups are tricolored violas.

These violas are lavender and white.

These pansies are purple with white faces.

These are purple and orange.

These are purple, burgundy, and yellow.

These are purple and yellow.

Here's a closeup of one purple-and-yellow pansy.

These are perennial pinks.

This pot has black petunias and oxalis.

Date: 2025-05-06 02:45 pm (UTC)Dry old CA already shows the effects of losing its spring greenup, bleurgh. The lawn turned to pale stubble with foxtails and the datura seeds I planted months back failed to come up at all. :/ It's nice to see the neighbor's first white datura blossom, though. :) It's so fast you can practically stand there evenings to watch them unfurl.
