Photos: Savanna and Prairie Garden

Daffodils bloom along the west hedge of the savanna.




The white garden looks a bit bedraggled as the daffodils and tulips fade.




Snowbells aka spring snowflakes are new this year. They're lovely and I want to plant more of them.




This is the wagonwheel garden.




One last crocus is blooming in the wagonwheel garden.




Daylilies and naked ladies are leafing out.




This is the telephone pole garden.




Bergamot is taking over the telephone pole garden. I need to move some of it elsewhere.




Lilies grow around the base of the telephone pole.

The redbud tree has flower buds but they aren't open yet.




This is the wildflower garden.




Blue anemone is blooming in the wildflower garden.




Russian comfrey is sprouting under saplings in the savanna.




Daffodils are blooming in the prairie garden.




These are yellow-and-white.




These are pink-and-white.




This is a double yellow daffodil.




Wild strawberries are leafing out.




Violets are blooming solid purple and blue-and-white.




These maple leaves are coming in pink.




Bergamot is sprouting too.




Yarrow is leafing out.




These are giant white daffodils.




Blackberries are starting to leaf out.




Raspberries have lots of leaves now.




These are double pink-and-white daffodils.




These red tulips are blooming in the prairie garden.

The violets are native. Most of the daffodils are ones that I've planted, either in beds or naturalized around the yard, but a few are older than I am.
