Walkable neighborhoods have a set of features that provide many benefits. They should also be accessible to diverse users. Use a walkability checklist to test how walkable your neighborhood is, and if necessary take steps to make it more walkable.
Public benches make for sitable neighborhoods. This offers more benefits and improves accessibility. Anyone who controls a patch of public or semi-public space can thus improve it by adding a place to sit. Buildings should have seating near the doors, both inside and outside. Every bus stop should have a bench, preferably inside a shelter, and corners make good locations too. Parks need benches, and even a pocket park has room for at least one.
Mulled cider uses warming spices that can reduce inflammation, promoting healthy bones and joints.
