My grandmother can do something similar. Sometimes she'll follow a pattern, especially for something new, but she can also make up her own if she knows what kind of project she wants to make. She also has the neat skill of being able to look at a picture (or an object) and tell you what pattern was used to make it.

My grandmother can do something similar. Sometimes she'll follow a pattern, especially for something new, but she can also make up her own if she knows what kind of project she wants to make.
