Personality Type: Bohemian.
Country: United States of America.
♦ Spring Is Here!
Is it spring yet in your part of the world: Yes. It's running a month to a month and a half early, based on what the plants are doing. Bluebells normally bloom right around Beltane here, and they're long since gone to seed this year.
What's your favorite thing about spring:
I enjoy many things about it -- getting outside again after winter, the various phases of spring planting, watching the leaves come out and flowers bloom. Something new happens almost every day, the world is always changing.
Have you been doing any spring cleaning:
A little, but mostly outside -- raking leaves off flowerbeds, picking up sticks, and such.
If comfortable sharing, any spring goals:
This year, in addition to usual goals that are (planting) or can be (photography) done in spring, I actually made a set of specifically seasonal goals in my list. For spring:
* Make at least one hiking or driving trip to view spring flowers and/or migrating birds. [MET 3/2/24 3/2/24 Lake Pictures,]
What are your likes or dislikes about spring:
Well, I used to dislike the Moon of Mud Everywhere aspect, but it's been so dry here last year and this year, that hasn't really happened.
Do you have any spring-based hobbies:
Birdwatching has a peak in spring (and fall) due to migration. If you're into that, see

Do you have a favorite flower:
I love miniature irises because they're so bright and bloom so early. Bluebells are another favorite. My snowdrops are wandering everywhere. Crocuses give the bees an early snack. I like daffodils and tulips. Grape hyacinths for their watercolor blossoms. Lilies of the valley are blooming now with their sweet perfume.
... no, I just like them all.
Do you like being outdoors or prefer staying indoors: Outdoors!
Do you have any spring-time (or in general) photos you'd like to share: See my Photo tag for views of my yard and flowers.
♦ Friending and Your Journal
What qualities are you looking for in a friend:
People who are tolerant and enjoy deep conversations. Nature nerds. Other fans or Pagan folks are fun. I like looking at photos and artwork if anyone posts a lot of that.
How do you like to communicate:
Much of it is on Dreamwidth currently.
Do you do friend cuts? If so, how often:
Only when DW won't let me add anymore. Then I delete blogs that don't exist anymore, or those that haven't been updated in years and are for people I don't remember.
How often do you post:
Daily, often multiple times per day. If you're tired of blogs that never seem to do much, you'll probably like mine. If you're easily overwhelmed, this may not be the blog for you.
What do you post about:
"My Blog Is About..." lists my common topics. Reading, writing, nature, and speculative fiction are leading ones.
Is there anything you're not looking for: (Feel free to put dealbreakers here too)
Fandom policing, trying to tell other people what to do, health, political screaming matches. I'm so out of patience with the obnoxious brawl that society is turning into. Just ... don't be a dick.
