Wholesome food advocate Bob Moore has passed away. He was famous for launching the whole grain businesses Moore's Flour Mill and later Bob's Red Mill.
... meanwhile up in heaven, Jesus hikes up his robes and runs to greet the Porridge Dude.
Carry on the work:
Start your own business.
Eat whole grains. Enjoy some recipes. Popcorn is a healthy whole-grain food. Here are some toppings and popcorn recipes. Oatmeal is a healthy whole-grain food too. Set up an oatmeal bar with delicious toppings. Make your own muesli or granola. Consider a grain bowl. Mix and match or use a grain bowl recipe. Here is a grain bowl algorithm.

-- If you use massive amounts of flour, yes, you can save money grinding your own.
-- If you want to be prepared for emergencies, and you stock large amounts of unmilled grain, then you need a durable hand-cranked grain mill. (Some have an electric conversion kit for when the power's on.)
-- If you adore floral notes in food, yes, because the high notes in fresh-ground flour are exquisite but fade quickly.
-- If you can buy an unmilled grain but not its flour, quite possibly. This may be important if you have special dietary needs like requiring gluten-free food.
-- If you have access to diverse flours locally, then probably not.
Find a food cooperative or a health food store near you. These are places you can usually find whole-grain foods and other healthy ingredients.
