Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy, windy, cold, and wet. It's raining again now. Yesterday started off temperate, but by evening the sky was emitting rain, snow, and possibly slush at different times.
I fed the birds. I've seen a flock of sparrows, a male cardinal, and a fox squirrel at the hopper feeder. Yesterday the sparrows were fascinated with the burn barrel for some reason, flying down inside it. In summer they dust-bathe in there, but it's too wet for that in winter. I'm not surprised that I've seen more today, even in the wet, after yesterday's weather discouraged foraging.
