>>I think the main limitation is seeing famous people as somehow different and more special/talented/whatever than everybody else. Used to be nobility, now its pop culture stars.<<

Yeah, but that's about stars. This is about a character, and if you look at the internet, you can see people heavily mimicking Wednesday's clothing and interior decorating. So it's plausible they might also mimic her writing habits.

>>Why can't people provide better instructions for making friends than "give up your lunch time to make friends?" They could at least /bribe/ me to give up my fun time...<<

* Most people are unable to break down a process into simple, actionable steps. I had no idea this was a superpower of mine, that other people usually can't do, until people started flipping out over me doing it and I looked into it. They are mostly terrible at it. They try, but the results are often bad.

* Often people have ulterior motives, so they make bad instructions on purpose. For instance, the "friendship instructions" given to disabled students are the steps for ass-kissing, not for friendship, but it is called friendship. This is confusing and upsetting to the victims.

* Lots of people don't actually understand how relationships work. So then it's hard to explain how they work.

* Some good instructions do exist. I like the Relationship Bank Account. That would be very useful to Wednesday. I think she'd be pedantic and literal about it, but at least it'd discourage her from using people without giving anything back.

>>This is annoying. If I warn someone not to do something, it is not my fault if they ignore me and end up causing whatever I was warning them against.<<

Watch the show and see how often they do that to Wednesday; it's ubiquitous.

But yeah, I agree. If I say, "Don't sit under that tree, it's being harvested by leafcutter ants," and people choose to ignore me because they are Popular and don't have to listen to an outcast, that is their free choice. When they run screaming out from under the tree with ants in their hair, that is not my responsibility, it is a natural consequence of their choices.
