I'm baking Brown Sugar and Rye Shortbread Cookies. The dough came out a bit soft -- I probably should have put it in the fridge for 5 minutes before rolling it out. I did that instead of making balls to roll in sugar because I figured it was plenty sweet already. It smells rather like apples baking, although there is no apple in the recipe.
EDIT 2/5/23 -- They turned out pretty good. The flavor is nice, but the texture isn't as pleasing as the recipe I usually use. These are tougher.
