I like lots of fandoms, so I'm just going to pick the one I write about the most, which is The Avengers with Love Is For Children. What I like most about this fandom is the characters and the team dynamics. They have a great mix of personalities, strengths and weaknesses. It makes for good team and family stories. They're equally well suited to domestic or dramatic contexts.

Steve/Bucky Alpha/Beta/Omega fanfic in which they circle around each other briefly and then get high as a kite on each other's phermones. Adorkable hilarity ensues.

The SHIELD interceptor spaceship Avenger is under final attack. Aboard her, sitting in his cell, the war criminal Tony Stark gets ready for the confrontation, and the revelation, that he knows is about to come.

The mission resets abruptly, from objective: kill to objective: protect.

When I have time, I'd like to come back and add some of my personal favorites -- I've saved a list from each year for the last several -- but today I'm just too swamped to do more.

Yay! I'm glad you liked it. :D Clint&JARVIS has been a runaway fan favorite as far as LIFC threads go, so I latched onto that.

I really enjoy human/AI relationships in general. The Avengers is brilliant for that. Just most people write them in creepy ways. This fandom has a lot more room for platonic relationships, and that helps. Plus JARVIS and the bots are popular with fans.

I miss the bots in canon. I keep wondering why they wrote them out of the MCU. I don't think they've been there since Iron Man 3.

Ah, I used to love the period of fanfic when everyone lived in Avengers tower and they each had their own floors and would get together for pizza nights. I've happily read (and even written) so many 'Loki ends up as one of the Avengers' fics and still have a fondness for them.

If you have not yet read my Love Is For Children, it is heavily team and tower focused. But make sure you have plenty of time before starting it, because by this point it's huge and people have lost whole weekends down that rabbit hole.

There's even a bit of Loki, though I haven't had time to write out all of that setup yet. After a certain point, people started prompting things out of order, so oh well. This series was still the longest thing I made in continuity before that happened.

What I like most about this fandom is the characters and the team dynamics. They have a great mix of personalities, strengths and weaknesses. It makes for good team and family stories. They're equally well suited to domestic or dramatic contexts.

Yes, this! I love how you can write plotty, action-packed mission fic AND domestic let's-watch-movies-and-throw-popcorn-at-the-screen tower fic and they're equally within canon divergence parameters.

There really aren't many canons that bifocal. Sherlock Holmes is another, and featured in this month's allbingo fest for Public Domain Day Bingo.

If you like anime, try Kuromukuro. Half Giant robot alien invasion action with swordfights, half mundane stuff like explaining 21st century food to the Fish Out of Temporal Water or the little kid complaining about dinner.

Action sequences are alright, though I'm getting tired of the machismo giant-humanoid-robot dominance fights as a plot device - I feel it is overdone, unrealistic, and a rather ridiculous way to fight.

The Fish Out of Temporal Water bit was excellent - including the part where he needs a minder for awhile so he doesn't injure himself or cause (more) trouble.

The villans - eh, they wouldn't be out of place in an '80s Saturday morning cartoon. There was one interesting twist I hadn't seen before, but they were fairly boring.

Overall, I'd say it is worth looking at.
