Today I'm making strawberry banana bread
using this recipe
, just replacing the nuts with dried strawberries.

Ooh, that sounds like an interesting substitution. I tend to either sun in chocolate chips or just leave nuts out of things, but strawberry banana bread sounds delicious.

Strawberry bread is most delicious. :D
If you have any kind of solid mix-in, you can usually swap in most other types of solid mix-in.
* Chocolate chips or chunks
* Candies such as M&Ms, redhots, crushed toffee bits, crushed peppermint, etc.
* Diced caramels, or those new balls that work like chocolate chips
* Dried fruit, or sometimes fresh
* Crystallized ginger
* Coconut flakes
* Marshmallows (fresh or dried)
* A different type of nut, or if you avoid nuts in general, seeds such as sunflower or pepita
