I'm not sure if I have the spoons to organize a pool this time around (I'll wait and see what interest looks like), but I definitely see things I want to buy. Narrowing it down will be hard, especially since there are things I want in both the Rutledge and Shiv threads...
I'm organizing my thoughts now. As usual, looking at prerequisites to see which ones catch my eye. There's a decently big Shiv one, for example. Also Aquariana and Officer Pink storylines are appealing. Should have a better idea in the morning.
Yay! I'll take a closer look in the morning too and then we can see where we overlap. I also like the Aquariana and Officer Pink threads, so there should be things I like there too :)
The Shiv thread that caught my attention was "That Big, Booming Drum"/"Coyote Never Loses". Starting with the first one of those ($265.50) and adding in the Aquariana ($117.50) and Officer Pink ($131) poems comes up to $514 at half-price, so $257 at quarter-price. If you wanted to start there, and add a stretch goal of your choice, I would probably go halves of that amount to get us started. I'd like "Coyote Never Loses" ($99.50 at quarter-price) as another stretch goal, but would want to see if we could fund your first choice before starting in on that.
How does that sound? Add $23 to finish "Rainshadow Road", too?
Oh I was wondering where I knew your handle from - this is 100% it! I love your work, just hadn't quite attached it to this acc (but subscribed based on a sense of "I've come across this person before, just can't place where")
I don't think we've ever spoken, sorry if that was misleading! I was an account-less DW lurker for a few months a while back, absolutely loved your work and completely forgot where to find it, that's all. I'll check it out!

Ah, okay, that makes sense now. Lurking is fine. Having an account is helpful so I can distinguish commenters.
>> I'll check it out! <<
Poetry is posted on the Serial Poetry page in my best guess at internal chronological order. Most series have a page. Polychrome Heroics got so huge that I had to add thread pages for its major storylines. Not everything is posted but a lot is. Start at the top of any page and read down to follow its storyline.
Don't try to chug it all at once, though. I have thousands of poems posted. More will appear this week and probably next as I post things sponsored in the sale.
Yay!

Date: 2022-09-19 11:39 pm (UTC)Fair enough. Hopefully folks will pipe up if they want to jump in a pool. Maybe someone else will offer to host one.

Woohoo!

Starving to death between two bales of hay: some problems are nice to have. ;)

It would be easy to buy out either or both of those. They only have 2 poems each, and they're all small epics rather than huge ones.

I look forward to hearing more then. :D

Date: 2022-09-21 01:56 am (UTC)The next Poetry Fishbowl will be Tuesday, October 4 with a theme of "Indigenous Cultures" if you want to prompt for more Polychrome Heroics stuff.
Meanwhile, there's a pool going for the Polychrome Heroics half-price sale, if you want to help reveal more poetry.
