Good News

Good news includes all the things which make us happy or otherwise feel good. It can be personal or public. We never know when something wonderful will happen, and when it does, most people want to share it with someone. It's disappointing when nobody is there to appreciate it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our joys and pat each other on the back.

What good news have you had recently? Are you anticipating any more? Have you found a cute picture or a video that makes you smile? Is there anything your online friends could do to make your life a little happier?

Today was warm, but not so sweltering that I couldn't do things. It's been very humid here.

A friend of mine got a new job! She's been desperately unhappy in her old one and searching for months and months. I'm so happy for her!!!

I could use some good news, just saying...

On the up side, J and I are coming closer and closer to understanding each other. We do have a plan for getting out of this place and away from my egg donor, even if it does seem bloody well impossible sometimes...

And I am blessed with a great job (although he's unemployed again) and have even figured out how to do graphics on my work computer where I can't download anything. I'm actually getting to enjoy fandom again lately, and that is the ONLY thing getting me through this mess... Did 30+ graphics for my Labyrinth 2 reboot/reunion challenge yesterday and I do LOVE the way it's coming along, so there's that. :)

Find the bright side, y'all - it's always there even if you've got to squint through bloody Hell to see it!

I've been having some health issues that have left me badly anemic and while it's taken some time I am now in the middle of a round of iron infusions and I am /actually starting to have a brain/. It's amazing.

I was able to work enough overtime this week & last week to replace the hours that I missed from the repairs /being ill around 4th of July.

Also I finally bought myself a gift for my bday, since on my b day I was sick as a dog.
I got yarn & pattern for a new big project. Plus just some impulse buy yarn cuz the sale & fiber content was too good to resist. Alpaca, wool & silk blend!
Only issue is its not enough to make a blanket or throw for my partner & I to share. So I'll either have to buy more yarn or figure out something else to make with it. Some problems are nice to have.

Yay! :D Alpaca is awesome, so soft and warm.

So make a multicolor blanket. Check your stash. Angora/silk is nice if you want a similar texture. Mohair or cashmere are good too. If you want something different, regular wool works if you aren't allergic to it. Another direction would be sari silk yarn for a colorful contrast. You can do stripes of different yarn, or any modular pattern like granny squares, flowers, etc.

That is my plan. I will probably use some stash & look for another sale. 😁
