We've reached the end of scheduled themes for the Poetry Fishbowl project. It's time to brainstorm some new themes! These are a few that I've jotted down earlier, ones that I've thought up or people have suggested, to give you an idea what kind of stuff might be suitable:

* Animals
* Tying Up Loose Ends
* Natural Disasters
* Manmade Disasters
* Exoplanets
* Inventions

What other themes would you like to see me write about? What would you like to buy? Suggest them in a comment below this post.

Later on I'll collect the suggestions and do some polling. The most popular topics will be added to the schedule for future fishbowls. I'm going to run the first large poll with checkboxes so you can express interest in as many themes as you like. I will then either pick from the most popular ones, or use that information to pull out the favorite themes for a smaller poll to select the ones which will appear in upcoming fishbowls.

You can also help by linking to this post so that more people will see it. Everyone is welcome to suggest themes. Everyone will also be able to vote for them later; prompters and donors will get extra votes. If you link to the call for themes, you can reveal a verse in any open perk poem:
"Everything That Blooms"
"In the Shade of the Mighty Oak"
"Let the Children Lead Us"
"Autumn's Palette"
"Pumpkin Spice Prosperity"
"Delight in Another"
"A Sense of Weather Changes"
"Ouroboros Insects"
"The Loving Embrace of Night"
"Generations of Cooks Past"
"Begin to Understand Ourselves"
"Homefree and Clear"

Seconding Artistic Endeavors or Unusual Art(istry). Either of these would pair so well in March with the National Craft Month bingo on Allbingo.

I really like Animals and Exoplanets from your suggestions above and will toss out Reworked Cliches, Alternate Universe or Multiverse, and Emotions (to include such things as “I want to feel remorse when I read this poem”/“Shiv is hangry”/“show me some schadenfreude”)

Non-Disnefied princesses: Basically a break with the Eurocentric pretty-and-true-wuv tales. (The Queen Mother takes over the empire, Cleopatra's polymath diplomacy, samurai wives.) We could add in a few princes and princen too...

Language / Xenolinguistics

Basing stories off of song lyrics, poetry or quotes. (I've seen a few ads that might make good prompts too, but I'm not sure I want to encourage commercialism...eh.)

Economics, and alternate structures thereof.

Making do.

[Exasperated] "Not /again/..."

Flipping the usual social/narrative expectations: the socialy-savvy kid has to coach an adult with no (relevent?) skill, the guy in a wheelchair takes down the armed robber, the elderly lady moms the quarreling supervillains into calming down/mopping the floor/paying for damages/apologizing.

And I've still got a new-series idea, but I dont think that counts as a prompt.
