That really proves my point. That particular brown person had power. People were not allowed to keep attacking him like that, because he could hurt them. He could force them to stop by suing them, or quite possibly getting them fired, or since he's a media mogul he could crush them with a publicity campaign doing massive damage to their reputation and ability to function in society.
It's a failure of victim selection. They should've looked at his clothes and his body, not just the damn car. A thief will show mismatches that an owner usually won't.
