I remember from my own childhood, and when my son was small, how random strangers always found reasons to criticize whoever was responsible for the child, and what the child was getting away with.
I could, of course, try to make something exceptionally calorie-dense, good-tasting, and filled with assorted vitamins and minerals, as a super-snack for Soups. But I'd rather bake Alicia a birthday cake - but not a unicorn. A platter of cupcakes, decorated as one whole set piece, with a completely outrageous amount of sprinkles.
