Folks have mentioned an interest in questions and conversations that make them think. So I've decided to offer more of those. This is the current list of coping skills.

12. Take a break or vacation.

Even a short break can make a big difference in relaxation and performance.  Here are some things to do.

#39 stands as my favorite because it doesn't involve the internet, at least by me. There's a coffee and doughnut shop within one mile down the county road that allowed me to sit in its corner with a cinnamon roll and coffee, completely immersed in a book even during 2020. I guess the proprietor saw me in early March 2020 get my 7 a.m. coffee and roll and trundle out to my car, where I sat in the morning sun to balance everything in my lap, ha, and relented. It's family fun and I've seen her grandkids grow until now Eldest Kid studies 2nd grade classes online so I get my kid fix by listening to him do his lessons on Zoom.

The family is Cambodian and along with two other places *Mom's rest home before her passing in 2015 (which employed about equal amounts of Sikhs and Filipinos) and the local gas station where I've been gassing up since 1998 (which is run by maybe Hindi?, could be Gujarati)*, they occasionally call me Mama. I get the biggest kick out of that.

It's just the most marvelous break from caregiving and landladying. :D
