Birdfeeding
Mar. 9th, 2021 07:46 pmToday is partly sunny and mild.
I fed the birds. I've seen a few sparrows today, but not much activity.
I hauled 3 buckets of mulch to put around the apricot sapling at the edge of the south lot.
Buds are beginning to swell on the maples. Some bulbs such as tulips are several inches tall.
I got tired of waiting for the Oikos Tree Crops catalog, so I looked up their website and ordered a few things from there. Used to be all trees, but in recent years they've started carrying more and more unusual foods -- some imports, but a lot of native species ideal for permaculture, food forests, etc. I love planting wild edibles even if I never actually eat all of them.
