This may be the best description of the last four years:

To Trump, the party of Lincoln was a rental vehicle, one that he took for a joyride and is getting ready to turn back in, with trash jammed under the seats and stains covering the upholstery. Also, the tank is empty, and there’s a crack in the windshield.

My father (a retired detective) sees parallels between his current actions and those of a family annihilator spree/serial killer. He has the "if I can't have it no one can" attitude aimed at the presidency the way most of those types aim at their families and property.
