Birdfeeding

It's a beautiful fall day out, sunny and mild with just a little breeze.
I fed the birds.
I scooped ash out of the firepit. This time it occurred to me to try pushing it into a bucket like I do with mulch, which was much more efficient than trying to shovel it. I sprinkled the ash around the prairie garden as fertilizer.
Two different sunchokes are blooming. I wasn't sure any had survived, but evidently some did. \o/ There's another yellow flower blooming amidst the big bluestem, which has its little turkey-feet open. Over in the wildflower garden, a purple aster is blooming. :D
