Folks have mentioned an interest in questions and conversations that make them think. So I've decided to offer more of those. This is the current list on self-awareness.

34. Where is your favorite place to be?

Home.  I spend much of my time in my office, but I love the yard too.

I honestly don't know right now.

Outside is a good place to start, I think. I'm just so blah, that anything 'favorite' is locked up inside. *xsighs*

Oregon!

Favorite highlights:

cold/rocky beaches (wading along the waterline and looking at tide pools are favorite activities). I also really want to make it up there sometime when it's whale season.

Timberline Lodge up on Mount Hood - built as a work project in the 30s it's a gorgeous piece of architecture filled with amazing craftwork.

City of Portland - a really fun town. Very walkable. Lots of good restaurants, funky small shops, and fun parks.

I've visited a number of times and part of me wants to move up there but I'm not sure that's realistic for me for a variety of reasons - high cost of living among them.

I find it ironic in the extreme that I distinctly remember coming home from work sometime in February and the winter sun was slanting through the windows and thinking, "I really love my house."

Little did I know . . .

Where I am right now - outdoors *semi* because my bower has a comfy old daybed, tarp roof, breeze coming in through the slats in the fence in the summertime *I drape another tarp over the fence in winter to keep out blasts from the prevailing NW wind which is why I placed the 10x9 bower in the NW corner of the yard ... well. I could go on and on, but I'm home in my Little Gray Home In The West, just like the song. :D
