Its an indicator of serousness (and also kind of funny) that a lot of people are now flip-floping on deeply entrenched beliefs, or working together with opponents.
Its basically an outside-context problem - we can deal with flu season, hurricanes, wildfires, mass shooters, floods, serial killers, polar bears, tornadoes, etc. but the system is not designed for everything everywhere to be shut down at once, for months.
Plus, people can't agree on what a sensible response is - mask or no, stay home or no, order online or no, stores closed/open for pickup/open-open...I think that's causing a lot of stress.
Hopefully we'll be able to patch some of the bigger problems in society now that this is making them obvious and opening a diologue.
