Sooth. He's not good at thinking up requests from scratch, but he's learning how to follow a line of inspiration when he notices something that would be useful.

Yep. He doesn't have a sophisticated grasp of it, but then he doesn't need one. He knows what it is, and correctly identified that it was causing complications.
