A community is strong enough to handle the likes of Herr Scheisskopf (yes, that was deliberate) not *just* because of its mazil... but because *everyone* does their bit under his direction. Victor could not have taken him alone, and probably not just Victor *and* Igor... but having that whistle is darn near as good as having treecats. The result was more or less equivalent.... *feral grin*
