Poem: "Building Castles in the Sand"

crowdfunding Creative Jam. It was inspired by a prompt from alexseanchai. It also fills the "sand" square in my 9-1-19 card for the Arts and Crafts Festival bingo.
"Building Castles in the Sand"
The natural order of things
is all beauty and grace,
the moon and the sea
holding hands as they
dance along the beach.
It is the swift spin
of day and night,
the slow twirl of
the seasons.
A person in
the garden is as
Gaia in the ecosystem.
As above, so below.
To go against
one's own nature
is like pulling a blade
of grass the wrong way
through clenched fingers,
just waiting for a cut.
Always go with the grain
and the way will be smooth.
We are gardeners in the soil
and beachcombers by the sea,
putting flowers in our hair and
building castles in the sand.
What we make of the world
is no more or less than
what we make of ourselves.
As above, so below.
