Lived experience is very powerful. I imagine most people in the immediate Bay Area just quit eating squid, even the little ones.

I was surprised to find that their range covers all but the polar oceans. I thought they were restricted to deep waters. Most of the Maldives is comparatively shallow, but it is within the range, so I guess that's possible.
