I think the difference might be if you trust in a higher power - God, the universe, the author, the parent. This will be perfect for you, and it is, but you have to lean into the trust and let your own misgivings go.
I don't believe in that, and I don't want to believe in that. To me, that's a dystopia. To literally billions of people, that's heaven. And that's so fundemental to Calliope's story that any conversation about it seems doomed to talking past each other.
