Genderfluid Ballerinx

A genderfluid ballerinx is dancing in Sleeping Beauty. (The article says ballerina, the feminine form. Most people don't even know ballerino, the male form. Since the dancer is genderfluid, I'm saying ballerinx.) I think the stuffy world of formal dance needs a kick in the tights anyhow. \o/

Date: 2018-08-30 07:48 pm (UTC)When I was in high school, a teacher named Anne-Dore Davids probably saved my sanity and possibly my life. After graduation (1965) I asked to stay in touch with her, and she was to me, quoting a song I wrote, "dearest of friends till the day that she died".
And through her I came to know of the Trocks.
In the summer after my graduation she was wardrobe mistress for the Trocks. I saw several of their shows with her. I particularly remember going in a cab with her to a rehearsal, carrying a swan that she had made as part of a costume for their "Swan Lake". I said in was rendering them a "cygnificant service".
