And I'd just been thinking that if more men were afraid that women would kill them, it might start to reduce the problem right there. OTOH, one has to be careful with that sort of advice, because it segues very easily into victim-blaming. ("Why didn't you take the martial-arts classes? Why didn't you shoot him?" etc.) Not to mention that you leave yourself open for accusations of advocating murder... which are much more likely to be leveled against someone from any marginalized group than against a white man, even if the words used are the same. (cf. 45 and his gang of thugs)
(This, BTW, is why I am always careful to say that the only way to be permanently rid of a stalker is for the stalker to die. The audience can take it as they like.)
