I understand that a lot of the Somali pirates are more or less forced into it by the terrible conditions there.. better to risk a quick death from a patrolling navy than suffer a slow one on land...
Under the previous administration, I might've thought that going out, acting like a pirate, and running up the white flag to the nearest warship might get you three hots and a cot in some brig... with this one? Not on a bet.
